Since 1990

A Shanghainese house, a Hong Kong address.

The craft we practise is older than our doors by a century — carried south from Shanghai and kept, without shortcuts, in a quiet corner of Tsuen Wan.

Euro Fashion opened its doors in Tsuen Wan in 1990, but the craft it practises is older than that by a century. When Shanghai’s finest tailors made their way south to Hong Kong in the decades after the war, they brought with them a discipline of cutting and handwork regarded as the finest in Asia. We are part of that unbroken line.

That inheritance shows in the things you cannot rush: the paper pattern drafted for one body only, the canvas padded stitch by stitch, the buttonhole cut and sewn by a hand that has made tens of thousands before it. Our master tailors did not learn shortcuts, because their teachers were not taught any.

For more than thirty years we have kept to a single, stubborn principle — that no fabric is cut until the client has been measured. It sounds obvious. In an age of ready patterns and quick turnarounds, it has become rare. We think it is the whole of the matter.

We are, in the end, a house of relationships. Clients come for a wedding suit and return for a working wardrobe; they send colleagues, then sons. Your pattern stays with us, and so, we hope, do you.

The Red Gang lineage滬Shanghai → Hong Kong

The lineage

The finest cutters in Asia, and their unbroken line.

The Shanghainese tailors — the “Red Gang” who first mastered Western tailoring — fused English structure with Chinese handwork to a standard the trade still measures itself against. When they came to Hong Kong, that knowledge came with them, passed from master to apprentice at the cutting table rather than from any book.

It is a way of working that cannot be hurried or automated. It is why a jacket from this tradition drapes the way it does, and why it is still worn a decade after it was made.

We measure fathers and, in time, their sons. A house built on relationships rather than seasons.

“I came in for one suit before my wedding and have been dressed here ever since. Ten years on, that first jacket still fits and still turns heads.”

Mr K. LeungClient since 2014, Central

“I travel constantly and rarely have time to visit, so they come to me. Every shirt arrives fitting as if I had stood for it that morning.”

D. FerreiraTravelling-tailor client, Singapore

“You feel the difference the moment you put it on — the canvas, the way it moves with you. Tailoring the old way, by people who love the work.”
